Dropped a photo on the wrong folder? One tap puts it back — and removes the copy it saved. Nothing is deleted until you confirm.
Create destinations for anything — receipts, screenshots, work, memories to keep. Save to iCloud Drive or On My iPhone. Tap a tile to set one up, or drop a photo on an empty slot and pick its folder there — it files the photo once you save.
Folder tiles come in soft pastel or bold primary colours — or classic carbon monochrome. Pick the palette in settings, or give any folder a photo cover of its own.
The canvas grows with the screen and works in landscape — folders on one side, photos on the other, with a one-tap swap to suit your dragging hand.
Drag to the share zone to send photos to another app. Sharing is always copy-only, so the library original stays under your control.
Drag photos to the trash zone to queue them. You’ll see exactly how many you’re about to remove before anything happens.

Only when you say so. Safe folder moves and trash drops add photos to a queue and remove them from the grid, but they stay in your photo library until you tap Delete All and confirm. Sharing never adds an original to that queue. Deleted photos go to Recently Deleted, where iOS normally keeps them for about 30 days.
Tap Undo in the photo-library header (it appears whenever an undo is available). It reverses your most recent drop: the photo returns to the grid and leaves the queue, and an unchanged copy saved to a folder is removed only if the original remains available. You can tap Undo repeatedly to walk back through the session. Once you commit a delete, the undo history clears — after that the folder copy is the only copy.
Each folder you set up points to a real folder on iCloud Drive or On My iPhone. SwipeSorter writes the selected photo resource byte-for-byte with its matching file extension. A standalone source can then enter the delete queue. If the Photos asset has edits or companion media, its original stays in Photos.
A standalone photo can be moved: its folder copy is written first, then the original is queued for deletion. Composite assets are copied while their originals stay in Photos. If any export or save fails, the original never enters the queue.
Not for the app itself. SwipeSorter talks to no servers of its own. Apple handles iCloud downloads and sync: if a photo lives in iCloud and isn’t on your device yet, it’s downloaded automatically before the move, and folders on iCloud Drive sync the way they normally do. Moving locally available photos to On My iPhone works offline. Apps or file providers you select may transmit your photos under their own privacy policies.
Tap any folder tile to configure it — or drop a photo straight onto an empty slot, which opens its setup and files that photo once you pick a folder. Either way, you can create a new iCloud Drive folder without leaving the app, or pick an existing folder anywhere in Files (iCloud Drive or On My iPhone). New folders created in‑app land in iCloud Drive / Documents / SwipeSorter.
Just one: access to your photo library, so it can show your photos, save the ones you move, and remove them after you confirm. No location, no contacts, no tracking.
